My grandmother, Beth Atchison, was a respected teacher of tole and decorative painting in the Adult Education classes in Pittsburg for many years in the 1970s and 80s. She loved painting and teaching; and selling her beautiful painted items in craft shows throughout the East Bay.
This Friday & Saturday, we are holding a garage sale of her incredible library of books & patterns; beautiful wood furniture, tin ware, wood products which include clocks, trays, butter churns, sleds, shelves, bears, ducks, chickens, bunnies, dolls, Santas, angels, flat boards, paddles, key holders, frames, bird houses, and various small ornaments, wooden books and school related items. There are some finished or "almost finished" items as well. Several "multiples" of the same wood product have been paired with the pattern for ease of completion.
In addition, Beth loved making Teddy Bears, sewing, and keeping her hand in other craft projects. The sale also includes her library of Teddy Bear patterns, fur, sewing fabric, and lots of craft supplies and "how to" craft books.
