The St Vincent de Paul ("SVdP") Artist in Residence (“AIR”) program provides qualified artists working in any medium with unlimited access to materials from our warehouse and use of an equipped art studio located in Oakland. In return, the artists make art from reclaimed waste. The project also includes an element of product design, where the artist will use material from the waste stream to create a reproducible product, potentially to be sold in our retail locations. The artist will contribute a few of their pieces to the organization’s permanent collection, which is exhibited in a variety of venues.

Artists, crafters, and industrial designers are all encouraged to apply.
